What tool do you use most?
« on: April 21, 2014, 06:55:44 PM »

Not that one!

All the talk of tools in another thread made me think about the tools I use most often.

Unequivocally, I use needle nose pliers most. I couldn't do any project without them! So very handy, and as my carpal tunnel gets worse, they become more useful.

What's your go-to tool?

My ExHub loves multitools, and I swear he could open a museum exhibit with as many as he owns. Was always a favorite birthday gift for him. He even made some suggestions to one of the manufacturers that they later implemented.

I have a small one, but I seldom use it. I always loved my tiny Swiss Army knife I had on my keychain. Had to donate it to airport security once when I forgot to leave it at home.  :(

I guess I'm not that much of a fixer upper any more.  There isn't one that sticks out..
I seem to use a lot of super glue on different stuff though.

The only "tools" used by me are kitchen gadgets--stand mixer, food processor & blender all get used pretty regularly though...

Screw drivers and pliers - along with an "adjuster" (hammer) - if I can get my wife to leave the kitchen set in the kitchen.

When I'm working around here I always carry a set of 4" SnapOn slip joint 'pocket pliers'.  Over the years I've lost a few 'pairs' (why is it called a pair anyway?) but it's the one tool I always replace right away.
