not in the news..... one day last week after dropping my daughter off at school in Newport....driving back to Monroe on Telegraph I noticed a female....looked to be in her thirties SITTING on the side of the road between the liquor store and Kimberly Estates....she was sitting on the white line, rocking back and forth into traffic, screaming and hitting herself in the face....wouldn't have taken much effort to rock backwards into the path of a car or truck....and the vehicles coming down Telegraph toward Monroe are usually going well over 50.....anyway....stopped my van and walked back towards the woman...asking if she was okay....she was very agitated and wouldn't look at me.....so, went back to my car....turned on the flashers so people coming down the road would pay attention ...called 911....waited 17 minutes and no one showed up....finally, the woman got tired of me watching her and walked back into the trailer park screaming for some named Michael.....I called the 911 operator and told her the lady was gone....operator said someone was on their way....I told her that I could make it from my house to the high school to pick up my daughter in less than ten minutes....all without the benefits of blue lights and sirens....and I was going home. ....never passed a police car all the way back to Monroe.....VERY disappointed in the police department for not taking this more seriously....it was 7am...couldn't have been so much else going on that they couldn't have spared someone to check on this woman....

The main reason I maintain that it's just preudence to be armed, at home.  By the time LE arrives on the scene, the perp has either shot you or cleaned you out.

I would never depend on police responce time, for anything.

Sheriff's Department not Police,
and   I'm glad you put the time in...   That's Shift Change most likely  8)

Anybody know why the MEN always has the county police reports in the paper but never the city ones?
They would need to hire someone to take on that added responsibility of pushing a button to print out the report every day?

actually they do theirs on occasion with a city map to show the locations  weekly??

I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing.  He was a great guy and I worked along side him many times over my career.

Very sad for his family, but happy for him, he is in a better place.....

I crossed paths with him many times, and each of them was a pleasure.

I'm glad to hear his son is on the force.

Everyone dies....eventually.  You come into this world naked and unknowing and leave the same way.....

Make everyday count.  It may be your last.

I still want to know what an Afro Ball is.

Is it a party?  Formal dance?  What? ? ? ? ?

And what does it have to do with dozens of people fighting in the streets?

THE RECESSION IS OVER!!!

The flowered 'Monroe' is back!!!

I honestly hadn't seen it.  I've been avoiding Monroe Street at all costs since they've been working on the street!

Maybe we want to go as chaperones?

I just wrote everything i pulled off the toledo police scanner on here.
Fighting in streets of downtown after Afro ball lets out from Seagate convention center.
I guess you'll have to use your imagination as to what it was and why they were fighting.

+1

Is it that same flower - or did they find another species that could do it?

I see the Fed has upperd the reward on the defendants that skipped bond in Detroit on the drug trial....

They ain't never gonna be found because they are out of the country as in GONE...

The judge that allowed bail should be removed from the bench....

The 21 Million in cash and vehicles that the Fed recovered should have tolf the judge that these guys were set cash wise.....

Probably somewhere warm and sunny dealing more drugs...........
