Just remembered to look at the register of deeds site and the sale was 'recorded' (can't tell when it actually closed on the 'free' public site) on Oct 28th.  Sale price of $1,111,000.00...   what a strange figure!!!  Does anyone remember what they were originally asking for the property? Or what the property was assessed at?   Buyer is showing as 'Telegraph 630 LLC' rather than the furniture company itself...  typical today for various reasons!!!

Was that for both the car wash that the old furniture building or only the furniture building?

Not sure if it's considered a new business...

An Irish pub has opened downtown - called Glenn's

Located in the old Pete's Eatmore/Rourke's/ location.
SW corner of the intersection of Front and Macomb

I stopped in and met the owners Wed Night after we did our Thanksgiving dinner for the community

The owners just moved into town - and are from Downriver area
They plan to offer Irish dishes as they get settled in the change over.

Just noticed on W Front before the Tracks coming from Telegraph - next to the old lumber yard - there was what appeared to be a restaurant...

How on earth did they do it without putting up a sign "Opening Soon"   ;D

There's been a little soup and sandwich place in there for a couple of years now.  If you're not looking for their little sign board out front it's hard to miss.

If there's something else 'new' in there I've missed it too ;) ;) ;)

Here's another one that flew in under my radar although I'm usually on Telegraph and not N. Monroe when I'm in that area.

I remember Jeff from his early 'dayz at Trapperz' (although it was technically still Trappers back then)...

No sign board - but I was waiting for a train and happened to look that way...

I think they need some better signage!, as that building was something I associated with one of the oil companies in the past I believe -

Yes, that's the building and they've been there almost two years now.  I have to admit we've intended to stop in several times but still haven't made it.  Usually it's a choice between there and Monroe's Original and MO wins ;D ;D ;D

Stopped in at the Sandwich shop  (Joys of Monroe) on W Front.

I had a build your own sandwich - and it was like the kind I would make!

They have a variety and soups - and carryout.   I'd go back.

We keep wanting to get in there and for whatever reason seems like we always miss out!

I've had Joy's cater several lunches (12 to 13 orders) and they've always done an excellent job for me. I would highly recommend them.  (They don't deliver, but their food is very good.)
