Whitmer wants to spend big time.

She has a bunch of Government Unions to pay back.

Of course she is going to spend anything she can get on that.

I do not have a problem with the red light cams.  If you run the light you could kill someone.  As for the speeding camera's I'd only like to see them around schools where there are kids walking

Obviously DeWhine's administration has an issue with them.  Not that the city of Toldeo will be penalized, it's just the state will withhold funding based on the amount of revenue the city takes in (last year) and then if the 'take' is less than the funding level, the state will compensate the city for the difference.  I think it's a good deal and causes the city t be fiscally more responsible.  Nothing more.  Now if the city dissolved it's contract with the provder of the cameras, then the stae wouldn't withhold funding.

I like the surcharge on electric and hybrid vehicles too.  Let them also pay to play.

If Whitless Whitmer's gas tax passes (I don't think it will with a Republican house and senate, playing the best price  for gas and diesel shuffle will continue.

As I said, didn't vote for the twit and surely won't vote for her next time either.  Spitting image of Granholm and the tax and spend mantra.  What an idiot.  The people who elected her should be ashamed,

We all know tat the credo of any Democrat is 'tax and spend'.  Problem is, people in Michigan cannot afford that credo.  What we need here is tax reform and reduced tax generated spending.

We have a  nice checks and balances program in place.  Democrat governor and Republican house and senate.  Makes witless Whitmer basically a lame duck governor right out of the gate.

Where the hell did she come from anyway?  Let me guess, another product of the Wayne County political machine, just like Granny was.

Nessel needs to have some restraint put on as well.  Nessel appears to be more 'out there' than Schutte was.

The State Budget has been about 55-60 Billion range in recent years.

Whitmer wanted to raise around 2.5 billion to fix roads - which of course she contends must come out of tax increases - because where else can the money come from?

If she would instead tell all department heads to cut their budgets by 4% - while improving services - she would also get to that 2 - 2.5 Billion number.

I have worked in several companies that have cut budgets by upwards of 10%, all while increasing the workloads.

Of course - Government is incapable of cutting budgets, but apparently Whitmer assumes everyone in the state can find budget cuts in their House Hold to make up for her tax increases.

Oh well - everyone knows that the Democrats care about the people, while the Republicans only want to take care of rich people.

Painfully evident in DC as well.  It's the 'new' tax and spend party and Witless in lockstep with DC.  Whomever voted for her should be proud of her lack of fiscal responsibility.

As an aside, I don't believe it will fly anyway.  The Republican controlled house and senate won't allow it to fly.  Like I said. Witless is basically a lame duck governor right out of the gate.

The 3 stoogies in DC are digging one helluva hole for the democrat party.  I'm sure Pelousy is impressed, or should I say scared.  All the underhanded stuff they pull is coming out and being laid bare by the 3 stoogies.

The Dems know they do dirty underhanded illegal things and go by the rule that when they do, blame the other guy first.  Its been working for years and the Repuks are either to stupid or to gutless to counter it..

Let me get this straight -

With Kavanaugh - it was "ME TOO" even though no one proved he did a thing.

With Creepy Joe Biden - its no problem.

I'm getting burnt out with all of it.  I'll just vote for DJT next time and ignore everything else.

Easy answer, Beto or Biden if he actually makes it.

I was thinking the gay mayor from South Bend.

Don't ask me his name.

Gov. "Jennifer" Whitmer says there isn't going to be a budget passed without her road taxes.
I think I mentioned getting a budget passed on time is a thing of the past.
