https://www.monroenews.com/news/20191111/withdrawal-from-paris-climate-agreement-disappointing

I think the Penguins should be more worried about the vast numbers of people in their community that don't know Jesus Christ then they are about Climate Change and Social Justice.

Perhaps they should lose their tax exempt status?

Oh wait - it was Obama's administration that did things like that to those they didn't agree with.....

How are the roads out your way today?

How are the roads out your way today?

Have no idea, other than walking the big black dog this morning, I haven't been outside but looking out on the back deck, I'd say there is at least 3" on the railing and it's coming down at a pretty good clip.

I don't believe it will get bad until this evening when the temps go into the cellar.  That is when the caca will hit the fan.

I see NWS says 4-7.  Nothing beats a nice fall snowstorm and yes, the unharvested beans are taking a dive ti the ground.  Row croppers get the triple whammy this year. soaked spring = late planting, wet fall = delayed harvest and now early snowfall = beans and possibly corn on the ground.  Don't combine well that way...

Problem is simple.  Time to quit farming or go bankrupt. Payments on fancy new equipment don't stop because the year sucks and crop insurance only averages 35%, not enough to make payments anyway.

Heard our illustrious MCRC finally made it out here about 2pm.  Par for the course I'd say.  Probably out of salt too because they closed the salt shed on Ida west.  Heard 223 is a disaster as is 23.  Ferrovail or whatever their name is, made ONE pass this morning and that was it.  Off to a good start I'd say, but so is the MCRC.  Bang up service my butthole.  Lets see, MCRC  starts at 7AM.  By the time they have their customary doughnuts and hot coffee and go jack off for a while, they might get out of the barn by say 10AM, giving them the benefit of the doubt.  4 hours to get from Telegraph north of Dunbar to the west side of 23...  Must drive awfully slow..  I keep forgetting, it's a union shop so they have to take a break every couple hours too.  Don't want them physically exhausted do we?

So, to answer your question in a sentence...

Terrible but expected no less.

I already have excellent health care and prescription drug coverage.  Besides, Trudeau is a socialist.

Interesting to hear someone saying how high building is in Detroit - due to Unions.

I wonder - is this also true for roads and bridges?

Before I would willingly consider giving one more penny of my money in new taxes for roads....

The state needs to repeal the "Prevailing Wage" law.

Until they do that I will forever say they have enough money but they don't spend it wisely.

Just tired of politicians always asking for more money to fix or buy stuff.  Eliminate the waste.
Back to the question of why does Michigan need full time politicians.  The majority of states seem to get along quite well with part time.  They never seem to be in Lansing anyway.  Get rid of the bloated staffs and work from home, like they do most of the time anyway

Amazing headline...

A DNA test revealed Hunter Biden fathered a baby with another woman while he was dating his brother's widow

https://www.businessinsider.com/hunter-biden-father-of-luden-roberts-child-dna-test-2019-11

A DNA test confirmed that Hunter Biden is the father of a baby in Arkansas that he has denied having, says a court filing first reported by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

The document, filed on Wednesday in Independence County, Arkansas, on behalf of the baby's mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, said the DNA test determined that Biden was the baby's father "with scientific certainty."

The filing said Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, is "not expected to challenge the results of the DNA test or the testing process." He has not commented publicly on it.

In May, Roberts, who said she and Hunter Biden's relationship resulted in a child born in August 2018, filed a petition for paternity and child support and a request for him to pay healthcare for the child, according to the Daily Beast.

Biden's relationship history is complicated. In 2017, he finalized his divorce from Kathleen Biden, his wife of more than 20 years, after she accused him of spending money on drugs and strip clubs.

That year, he started dating Hallie Biden, his brother Beau's widow and the mother of his niece and nephew. Page Six reported in April that they had recently broken up — meaning the baby was born during their relationship.

LOL

The disturbing part of this article that I didn't know is that he was trying to score with his brothers widow.

That just seems.....  creepy.
