I think I need to slow down a little bit.

So, how many months do we have until Christmas, again?

COOL!!!!!!!!!

I have PLENTY of time for shopping, then!!!!!!

I don't feel like shopping.

It doesn't matter if I have 4 days or 12 months.

Bah Humbug.

However - I am done for the wife - while she keeps asking me what I want.

I don't want anything that I can think of.  When I think of something I want, I usually get it.  Right now I can't think of anything.  Frankly I am getting tired of getting asked.

Another couple of Lions Home games would be nice.  Can you get me that?  I'll even pay for them?  Nope - can't get me that....  How about Jim Harbaugh, Head Coach?  Nope?  Can't control him?  Okay.  Can't think of anything else on my wish list right now.

Another topic -

Why do some people insist on being A Holes all the time?

Is it a genetic defect, or is it due to their substance abuse issues?

Because they can.  Because they can get away with it.

I dropped a huge coon earlier this evening with that 17.  I love that rifle.  No exit wound.  Just a pinhole going in and it scrambles the internals.  2 steps and gone.....

Sucker was half as big as my dog.

Amazing what that tiny bullet will do.

CL does the shopping.  I don't.  I hate shopping with all the bratty kids and SA moms and dads around....  Bah Humbug twice.

I avoid stores like the plague this time of year.  All the merchandise has fingerprints on it, kids milling everywhere and acting stupid....  over some chinese toy that lasts 30 seconds and costs a bundle....

If I want something for myself, I go buy it.  I know what I want better than anyone else.  Give me gift certificates (preferrably Cabelas) for x-mas.

I don't want no stink'in x mas tree, no x-mas music (I can't stand that crap music anyway)  and I hate going to the store, any store because invaribly there is a Salvation Army bell ringer in front pandering for money that I have to ignore.....Bah Humbug.

I always try to make MT posters happy.

Congratulations, Sammy! You have won the Insensitive Jerk of the Year contest!! WHOOOP WHOOOP!!!!!!

All assholishness aside, yes, naomi, depression is a real thing. It's particularly dangerous during holidays and gloomy winter. Please be sure to take care of yourself and to reach out when you feel down. Eat well, exercise, get lots of rest, and HAVE FUN.

Be well.

My mother frequently said she had 'cabin fever' this time of year.  We always attributed that to the fact she was born and raised in the south Georgia and Florida so the winters maybe had a stronger impact on her...  now I realize that it gets to lots of people and probably everywhere!

This has been the 'darkest' week of the year:

http://www.13abc.com/story/27654446/the-darkest-week-of-the-year-begins#at_pco=cfd-1.0

today is the shortest day of the year (winter solstice or the 'first day of winter') so tomorrow the days will start getting longer although it doesn't look like the weather is going to let a lot of sun shine through locally.
