I'm not.  I do believe it's going to be a ball buster of a winter so the longer it stays nice, the better I like it.  Caterpillars nave no brown or red, all tan.  I plan on being a hermit as much as possible.

Monroe is dying a long putrid death.

Everytime I go there something else is closing.

Everytime I go there things are just a little more depressing then the last time I was there.

I think of Monroe as little Flint. 

All the manufacturing jobs are gone, and all that are left are cheap, falling house prices and drug users.

My advice for the intelligent people still there - get out while you can.

After DTE leaves - and they will - it is going to complete its transformation into little Flint.

It is depressing.  I try to circumvent it as much as possible.  Too many one way streets to nowhere.

I just avoided the place a couple of weeks ago.  I was able to do my CCW on-line and received it in the mail.  No more trips to the courthouse with no parking and dealing with the arrogant b-tards in the clerks office..

Monroe has a giant coal burning power plant that is a bit of a dinosaur - only it hasn't died yet.

Oh yes - Monroe also has a Nuclear Power Plant - also a dinosaur.

When those are gone - it is gonna be a shite show.
