The recent Disco legend deaths lately has me thinking about that genre....except disco wasn't very popular in the long-haired population where I made my association.
WIKI says disco peaked in the late 70's....back then it was rock all the way....like the 38 Special song I just posted that came out in 1981 and this one from 1978:

Molly Hatchet - Dreams I'll Never See

For the record....an early 80's haircut helped me garner employment as a pharmacy manager....shocked my hippie friends  ;D
And I took over the store in short order...Yep, back then I knew the price of everything on the shelves....OTC and the liquor....now my memory is not so good anymore.

This is a great band who covers obscure R&B Songs from the 60's.  Warning there's some adult language at the end....well it's not adult, but I know how sensitive some people are on here so I wanted to give fair warning.  Give these guys a listen.  I promise you'll at least get a kick out of them

Detroit Cobras - Ya Ya Ya (Looking for my baby)


This is one of my favorite songs, and not because of the kittens.  Oh they use the "B" word in this so another warning should be in order for sensitive ears.
