I think the majority are buying the lattes etc..

I don't mind a latte once in a while but most of the time they include something sweet that I shouldn't have so I tend to try to stick to plain old coffee and a shot of half and half...   just enough to take the bitter edge off the coffee.

Well the S/O and I got caught up in the Olga's debacle on Thursday.

We went to the Health dept. Friday morning at 8:10 am.  Clinic opens at 8:30 am.  Drat.... over 30 people waiting for vaccines.  HD says as long as we get it within 2 weeks we should be OK.

I wonder how many people will come in for the vaccine.

HD needs to come up with a plan for testing and prevention to abate this serious issue in food handling.  It looks to me that there will be more cases coming up in Monroe County and no end in sight.

We won't stop eating in restaurants but definitely are more aware.  Not a whole lot a customer can do about it.

Well, it's been a month since your potential 'exposure'...

assuming no ill effects so far?

The last box i bought at Costco was San Francisco something. Maybe the best coffee I've had in a long time.  Other than the top the rest of the thing was disposable.  Now they don't have it on the shelf..

Another case of an employee infected.

So far no word on any transmittal to a customer.

I'm guessing the hep-A isn't wide spread enough for health dept's to require hep-A test before working with food

I don't know how that works...

if anyone (government or business policy) can mandate a test or a vaccine prior to employment.

Anyone with some background have any info on that?

So far nothing but it is better to not take chances.

Good to hear.

We had a fancy business meeting yesterday and I was the very first to ask if the fancy muffins were from Tim Hortons although I heard a few others later asking specifically 'where' are these from?

I think the general public is at least somewhat more aware of the Hep A situation around the area...

but we all still have to eat too.
