Under construction right now.  TLC Community Credit Union is opening a branch on Cabelas Boulevard as well, I think in the building that houses Papa John's Pizza behind Walgreens.

I also see that Bass Pro (owners of Cabelas) is pushing the out lots sales again.  Signs all over the place.

I wonder how the Social House place that occupies the space vacated by beanery that took over the old Outback is doing.  I never see any cars in the lot.

Like having a TLC close by.  Been a member for many years and my closest office is Blissfield.

'500 jobs for Dundee Township'...  Right.  Unemployment is zip there anyway.  Local businesses cannot find anyone to work as it is.  How about 500 unfilled jobs instead.

Great.

500 jobs on the backs of the taxpayers.

Fantastic news.

Remember the expression "Freedom isn't Free"....

this is part of what that means.

The other part is all those people that have paid with their life or an eye or a leg or a knee...

be glad that wasn't you and just pay your taxes with a smile!!!

Id do that if the country wasn't running giant deficits.

As it is I think the national debt is the bigger threat to the country.

Your attitude also reflects the theme that spending Government money here is good but elsewhere it is waste.

I just see the pork.  Sorry if you think that makes me unpatriotic.

How do you take the words I posted and change it to what you posted?

If that was my 'attitude' then that is exactly what I would have posted.

Please do not try to put your words into my mouth.

As far as your patriotism goes, just like any 'emotion' (love for example) it's difficult for anyone but you to figure that out.

If you're happy with your level of patriotism then it suits me.

I'm very, very satisfied with my personal level.

Maybe we need a new thread...

is out 'freedom' worth what it is costing us?

You put words in my mouth too.

I guess that doesn't count though - does it?

When you do it you are somehow justified?

As far as how much does Freedom Cost - sure - start that thread.

We can debate if we are spreading democracy or making more enemies with all of our Freedom loving moves.

We live in a Country that doesn't defend it's own borders from people walking across it, but we do love bombing the shite out of the other side of the globe - in the name of FREEDOM.

Sorry if after 17 years of endless war I suddenly understand how protesters of the Viet Nam war felt.

If that means I'm unpatriotic - so be it.

I have news for you BRD.

No other country on this planet is going to take us down - at least in our lifetimes.  That "Super Armory" and other Pork projects like it around the country will not be the difference one way or another.

The National Debt?  Now that is a REAL threat.

Exactly.  I agree, those 500 'jobs' won't be productive, revenue producing jobs, but rather negative impact on the debt ratio jobs.  Sure the job holders will benefit... at the government's expense and who is the government?  Why us of course.

People tend to loose sight of that fact today.

Pay your taxes and smile is bullspit.  Tantamount to putting your head in a hole and ignoring the obvious.

Zorn didn't do any of us a favor.  All he did was promote an increase in the debt load.

He's a political dork anyway.
