Sounds like we'll get some Alberto rain tonight and into tomorrow.

There is still plenty of water in the ground as my sump pump is still running occasionally.

Looks like rain predictions have been cut back but .8 of an inch is still a lot of rain with what we've already had.

The lakeshore flooding warnings are up for Monroe County too.

I keep watching the track and it appears that the precip is tracking off to the west toward Chicago.  I think it will rain this evening but rainfall totals will be under the predicted amounts.

It is clouding up outside,  I have to take the Big Black Dog for his morning stroll (and poop)...lol

We're just getting ready to go for our stroll to swap out the memory cards in the trailcam.  Doesn't look like as much dew on the ground as we had yesterday.  The dog was soaked when we got back.

Just saw on my phone that the latest projection for the center of the storm is going to track about up 131 on the west side of the state which puts us in the northeast quadrant of the storm which will make us more likely to get rain and tornadoes.

We've had just a few light showers so far.

This looks like the article I saw on my phone earlier.

Right now we have more sunshine out than we've had all day.  This is what they talk about putting more heat in the atmosphere which has the potential to increase the potential for a tornado.

The county is under a severe storm warning until 7:30.  So far all we've had is a lot of wind in the last 15 minutes.  No rain yet!

And just like that it started raining.

I was hoping the rain would miss us.  Our sump pump has not run at all today...

first time in many weeks that has happened!!!

The rain has stopped and the wind is down to a few mph and the sun is trying to break through.

There have been multiple 'wires down' calls around the county.

More wind than rain here last night - glad I watered earlier.

Gust of wind took one chair from the patio about 50Ft

There wasn't enough rain to make it down to the sump pump level.  I had been out mowing when the wind first started mowing and I don't even see a branch down on the lawn that I was mowing.  I'll take the dog for a longer walk and check the woods later.

Even with all the wind I never did hear any issues along the lakeshore.
