Burt Reynolds RIP
« on: September 06, 2018, 09:58:00 PM »

Lots of entertaining movies,

Not sure I'd call them good.

I hope the funeral procession is made up of black 70s Trans Ams with T to p s and gold pinstripes.

RIP Burt Reynolds.

Entertaining is exactly right.  We saw most of his movies at the Drive In so even if they weren't that good we always enjoyed them ;) ;) ;)

Like Chuck Bushinski.  Lots of B movies made them both rich.  Just a few A ones.  Always like Deathwish, but then I like Steven Segal's early ones too.

Bert Reynolds trivia. He was the first person to autograph a hot dog bun that you see all over the walls at Tony Packos in East Toledo. Packos wife attended one of his performances in Toledo and took him to the restaurant. She ask for autograph. He grabbed a bun and signed it.

We took our oldest daughter there in '84 to see the buns and have her birthday dinner.  As she got older she thought it wasn't a 'cool' place to go but now she appreciates the history and the food.

I had no idea until this week that he was room mates with Lee Corso, and that he really played football.

Kind of cool.

I did know he played football, but didn't about Corso.
