County Commissioners Crooked?
« on: March 06, 2019, 11:32:22 AM »

Sure looks that way to me.

Lets see, first off we have J Henry Levens promoting (as a silent partner) the pot business, wanting to start a grow and retail sales operation in Summerfield Township (why not go to Adrian, or Addison where they have opted in while Summerfield has not)?  Escapes mt entirely and then we have the commissioner who drove around the baracaides in Bedford  and hit the tree and left his vehicle and didn't bother calling LE at all, at 4am in the morning, wonder why?  I have a pretty good idea.  How about he was loaded (previous issues are documented) and then the County Commissioners quashed any removal action.

Tell me where the accountability is?  I don't see any.  Good ole boy politics marches on in Moron County.  Gotta love it, not.

Im not sure if I wouldn't have done the same thing the commissioner did if I was over the limit..No proof that he was that I know of..
But what are they going to punish him for?  As a county official he should be held to some action.

I like the part where he "drove around road closure signs on Temperance Road"  and then....

I wonder which County Commissioner could have done this?

If you delve into it a bit, you'll see he has priors that are alcohol related.....

4AM in the morning, drives around 'road closed' signs and tries (in vain) to move the tree and then leaves the scene of a damage accident only to report it at a later (sober up) time...  4AM sure sounds like coming home from a bar to me.

Then the J. Henry Levens BS.  a 'silent partner' (read investor for profit) in a weed deal.  I seem to remember J Henry once saying "We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard"....  He's doing a helluva job of maintaining that standard from what I can see.  Next time I need legal consul, I'll give him a call......  Not.

Damn hypocrites.

I hate to judge people by their looks, but, Moore sure looks to me like a bar fly.  From the looks of the truck, I'd say he was hauling *** too.  Probably went and bought a new one, after all, we pay his wages.

Yes he committed a crime. He hasn't been charged or convicted. The only one that can remove him from his office is the governor and I doubt that she will do that over a traffic accident misdemeanor.
The subject at the board meeting was wether or not he should step down as vice chair of the board. The board has no policy with which to judge his actions and no mechanism to have a hearing for taking away that title. I thought it would be a complete waste of time and energy to make up rules on how to have a hearing and make up a retroactive policy of judging other commissioners actions. We can all say what he did stinks and there was something he did that was wrong but does it rise to the level of spending time to --what--have him removed as vice chair and move down one seat ??
That would be a waste of time and effort and I am sure that if we went down that road everyone and there brother would be yapping about that.
He certainly won't be running for state rep like he planned.

I've read about all the priors he's had too.  Apparently nobody dug any of that up when he was running for office.   He only committed a misdemeanor by leaving the scene of an accident.  What he's done in the past should have no bearing on this offense...But the next incident should bring the hammer!!!
And it's quite possible there will be another incident.

They say you can lead a horse to water but not make him drink it....  From what I see (read), Mr. Moore needs professional help in the form of substance abuse consuling.  Obvious to me that he's an abuser.  Having been there and did that myself, I can say if you can accept the fact you have an issue, you can overcome it.

Sure to Euchre his nice Silverado.
