King what if they do not want the help?  Dont most people that are hooked on something think that they have no problem at all, and therefor do not need help?  There is already help out there for the people if they want it but because they are not taking it that must mean they do not want the help or do not think they need the help.

Then you must have skipped over my post..

My solution to ease the jail overcrowding is for Monroe county to explore more alternative sentencing for offenders with substance abuse related crimes such as  inhouse drug treatment or possibly outpatient treatment while on a tether on home arrest .

These two options alone would free up a lot of beds in the MCJ but just  like back in the late 80s monroe courts contiue  to fill up its cells with non violent property crime offenders who could likely thrive with the appropriate treatment outside the grey walls of the jail .

Yes, you are right!  There are MANY people out there who may be bi-polar or have a personality disorder like 'borderline personality disorder" and they REALLY think its everyone ELSE that has a problem!

I just had a former parolee that I had tried to help IM me last night and all he wanted to do was argue about how everyone ELSE has the problem and he is just fine.......its very frustrating and annoying and they do become their own worst enemy.  He will never stay out of trouble as long as he believes this.....

And also OBVIOUSLY a person knows they may have a drug problem (and FREE treatment IS availlable!) but yet they keep doing it instead of immediately going for treatment WHY?????    BECAUSE IT FEELS GOOD AND THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THEMSELF!   *:)  They are not about to get treatment until you MAKE them get it.....

Think about how in your life you may have known someone diagnosed with a mental illness and how they kept denying that it was true.......or had Alzheimers or something similar.......

BTW,
And then you have people life FF who CANNOT dispute facts and CANNOT RATIONALLY answer the questions I have posed and keeps saying stupid things trying to get the FOCUS OFF himself.

Come on FF........lets come CLEAN about why you have the court system so much......you've already alluded that you have been in trouble before.......WHY?    Let everyone have ALL the facts before they make up their mind about the VALIDITY of your rants.......

JKC,
It seems wrong that you would diagnose a mental disorder and then broadcast your private conversation with a former parolee as an example.

That is the judgmental holier than thou Julie that I remember.

You place yourself on too high of a pedestal because your usual response when I ignore your questions is; “you don’t respect authority”……as if you’re in a position of authority.

You’ve drudged up my personal life again and while I’ve discussed some of the most intimate details throughout my 2,455 posts……I don’t plan to indulge your attempt to disparage me.

Let’s revisit when your son called you the meanest mother in the world and then entered the military, became homesick and softened his views.

I recall that he was convicted of felonious crimes two separate times but you, coming from a law enforcement family, were able to have those two convictions set aside so he could pursue a career in law enforcement.

It seems funny that law enforcement would accept such a person because I thought they had access to all records…sealed or not.

Someone asked for links about some of the stuff you’ve posted about yourself……Please allow me to help.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Julie+Kennedy+Carpenter&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8

Please tell everyone that story about the poser that passed as you on the Talks.
I recall that the style of writing was identical but you said it was because somebody acquired your keyboard but you retrieved it  ;D

You're not too bright are you FF??

I'm NOT the one that "posts" that stuff on the Internet.........in the computer world of the Internet, there are "crawlers" that constantly scan the internet picking up constant bits of info to put into the Internets information........

This is where all that comes from........these are REPORTS or INTERVIEWS posted on the Web from different AGENCIES..[/b].......I'm not THAT powerful .....LOL..........

Once again you refuse to answer questions but want to spread your dribble...........

OH, and for the newbies that don't know the history behind this.........my kid DID get into the trouble (do you remember that I PUT THAT out there, not hiding anything UNLIKE you!) and I MADE HIM stand up in court and admit the truth instead of listening to his attorney, he sucessfully completed his sentence and community service and so THEN was allowed to have his records expunged JUST LIKE ANYBODY ELSE!

Consequently he finished NINE YEARS in the service AND a bachelors college degree this April, so I would say that the boy has "made resitution to society"............

Now, YOU got angry because I would tell you at the time ALL that you have to do to get YOUR SON into these programs STEP BY STEP because I was quite busy at the time AND you were quite RUDE AND DEMANDING.......I DID tell you where to look to GET the info and you were too LAZY to go do it!  Since then you have had a grudge.........

REMEMBER?

Now for an update.........
has your son completed everything he was ordered to do?
Have either one of you served your country?
Have either one of you finished a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice?

You're getting BORING FF................

You're getting BORING FF................

You neglected to address that it was TWO separate FELONIES you had expunged.

The fact remains that the normal person can only have one felony expunged.

You offered nothing to how you were able to accomplish that except to tell me to do an internet search myself because you worked hard looking up the information and wasn’t about to help anybody else!

You are so full of **** I bet your eyes are brown.

The obese bikini clad young woman photo was self removed before any complaints were lodged or the censorship Nazi arbitrarily removed it although she was clothed and nothing private was showing. I just never know who’s squeezing his jewels to react on any particular day.

Why are you the only person with THAT style of writing?

Everybody else is wrong and you are right……as usual.*:)

JKC, No you haven’t divulged how you were able to receive special treatment in sealing two felonies…your memory is failing.

Please just give us one little comment about when Legal Advocate used your keyboard.

I recall that was the reason the writing style looked identical to your style…..someone used your keyboard and you had to retrieve it so your good name wouldn’t become tarnished.  *:)

Come on Pinocchio…..let it flow

JKC,

I'm not siding with FF but it's post's like this that contributed to your termination from your last job:

First, don't ASSUME that people have childcare issues.......many don't.  Therefore these jobs can be a GREAT STARTING POINT to learn skills........after all, no one is going to hire you if you don't have any SKILLS!

Second, many people save on childcare by each parent working DIFFERENT shifts.......we did for many years and IF we had a sitter, it was for no more than one hour a day.  Also, many relatives such as grandparents, also help out with this chore.  I LOVE to sit for my grandbaby when her mother works  :D

Third, the D.H.S. will help pay for childcare for low-income people!

Fourth....why not find some other single mothers and arrange a system where you can all watch each others kids while working?

I'm sorry to be so cranky but I'm simply sick and tired of listening to people whinning about how little they can make at these jobs after child care..............

Heres an idea!   DON'T GET PREGNANT UNTIL YOU GET YOUR EDUCATION!!!  Better yet, wait until you are MARRIED to a good spouse!  Keep your legs CLOSED!

There are SO many options nowadays for birth control that we didn't have when I was young.......and you can get them for FREE too at the Health dept!  It just amazes me how little people think before shacking up and getting pregnant.........

I'm also amazed that so many people think they should start off making BIG bucks when they have absolutely NO skills!  I worked many years at crummy jobs, not to mention DANGEROUS ones, until I got my education (and no, it wasn't paid for by anyone but me!) so I do understand.........BUT NO ONE is going to pay you to stand around looking good!

Your legs were open before you completed your purported education.  As a single mother, I find pleasure in joining forums such as this to advocate for those who are considered by narrowed minded persons as a drain to society.  What are you now doing for an income?  I'm  guessing you are sucking from the same social service system you allege single mothers tap on.

I wish you luck in your future endeavors, if you have any, and would like everyone else to open their mind and not pigeon hole the disadvantageous of our community.

Oh, and I'll edit to add, you may look good behind a counter....

First FF:  I directed you to EXACTLY where you needed to go to find the information at your local library but you were simply to lazy to follow thru........

And WHY are you posting pictures of your wife on the forum?

As for Single Mother:  EXCUSE ME???   My son was born the day AFTER my first wedding anniversary and the twins the following year........legs open?  Did you flunk math?

Second, I am MARRIED and have never collected a cent of welfare in my ENTIRE life!  Nor have my kids, my parents OR my grandparents!  Nice try!  Oh, and I don't work behind a "counter".......

Perhaps you're just a tad too defensive because of your OWN mistakes?

And BTW, I know who you are S. and I sure hope you are a LOT more organized over there at MCOP than you were at the "old" place........

Well i cant see a worse bottom than sitting in the Monroe county jail . :'(

It does take time for most addicts to finally give up and seek another way of life.  :(

With no type of counseling or support groups in jail   they will likely keep getting out and doing the same things over and over until they  die .

So looking at alternative sentencing i feel is just another thing to ease overcrowding and reform some lost souls. ;D

There are already help groups out there. Im sure if you go to ANY church they will either have some type of help or will, at the very least, be able to point you to some help.
