...The going price of a  .308, .45, .44, .30, .40 etc., round is about a buck or so......how much $ do you suppose WE will pay to keep him locked up in prison or on death row for the remainder of his life?
how many hungry kids and families here in the U.S. could that $ help if it were channeled not through organizations but used to directly help them? OR...shall I put another view on it....how many 10 years olds will go without dinner in the coming years, or without clothes, or without  period because WE as a society believe there is benefit in keeping this guy alive...albeit locked up...but alive non the less?
Which is more depraved....?  This guy....the death penalty.........OR those who will see the idea of executing this guy as being Cruel and Unusual?  In Europe this guy would be locked up ...NOT executed...because European lawmakers oppose the "cruel savageness" of the death penalty.....

My God, this made me sick.

Spooky, you don't need to concern yourself with the cost of the bullet.  I'll DONATE them, free of charge.  Hell, I'm sure there would be people lining up to donate the ammo needed to eliminate this animal from society.  I can't believe ANYONE would not support the death penalty in this case.

This animal doesn't deserve to breathe.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

When I was a little boy, my mother spoke of a prophecy, of a time when all the world would be covered in darkness and the fate of all of mankind would be decided. One night I finally got the courage to ask my mother why God had changed, why He was so angry with His children. “I don’t know,” she said as she tucked the covers around me. “I guess He just got tired of all the bullshlt.”

I've had trouble sleeping since reading this. I have a little girl that age. That poor little angel probably thought she had done something wrong--kids sometimes hit when another kid ticks them off, and she probably thought she had done something to cause him to hit her. I wish I had never heard about this.

I do think we would be better off if people like this were publically executed to serve as an example to others contemplating such a deed; in the good old days, the townsfolk would just storm the jail, take custody of the perp and string him up from the nearest lightpost or tree. What changed?

P.S. American prisoners have more honor than the average person gives them credit for. This guy will not last long on the inside unless he is protected by officials. Even then, his chances are slim.

Actually, draw and quartering was reserved for traitors and people whose crimes were against the royalty.

As someone who is very much against the death penalty, it is cases like this where that stance really gets tested. This guy is a sicko, and he should be put down like a rabid dog. But realize that for a lot of people, the opposition to the death penalty is not to show mercy but rather an acknowledgment of the shortcomings of our system.

Wow. I can't believe you're against the death penalty. I have reservations about it.
I think this man would be better sent to prison for life in general population with no possibility of parole.

How many innocent victims of that type of judicial process are acceptable? You can see my point when the question is framed in that manner, no?

DEATH IS TO GOOD FOR HIM...LET HIM GO TO PRISON WITH THE GENERAL POPULATION AND HE WILL SEE & FEEL WHAT HIS FELLOW INMATES THINK OF CHILD MOLESTERS AND CHILDREN KILLERS!!

Then again it may be better to save the taxpayers some money, after all his appeals that will take FOREVER, and put him to death..

I wish I didn't have to pay for a roof over my head, medical bills, cable television and 3 meals a day.

Yes.

But..when the fellow has clearly admitted to what he has done, and provided information that only the murderer would know........why waste the $, why submit him to torture and torment in a prison...save everyone the $ and allow closure...just take his life from him....or...give him the rope, have him knot it up, climb up on a ladder and jump off....end of story.   OH..and broad cast it live nationwide so other would be copycats would get the picture.  Wonder if he studied Dahmer, most know he was sentenced to life, yet not everyone knows he didn't live long in prison. Still, a rope or round is cheaper.

As compelling an argument as that is, it's like saying we should only use the death penalty when DNA evidence proves guilt. That is until someone finds out that the DNA tech was cooking evidence. Suspect admissions are not always on the up and up, and even when they do provide information that only the murderer should know; there have been times when that wasn't the case.

The Death Penalty, is bull****:
