The real crime happened in 2000

Hmm, interesting...Just to throw it out there, I actively campaigned for Bush in 2000 on part of the NRA-ILA...Most won't understand the reasons why, but the Democrats and the Clinton administration damn near took away the American right to bear arms(something I hold as one of the pillars of this nation!, see bill of rights.) That shut down my fathers gunsmith business with the harsh laws and higher taxes and fees they imposed(all in the name of being liberal minded in my eyes!)...I had my reasons for the fight then...Now, I'm not so sure...The only reason I voted for Bush the second time was because John Kerry was such a joke...

I don't like Hillary's stance on a lot of things...I just could not vote for her and my past grudge will never die...!

It all comes down to voting for a giant douche or a turd sandwich...I just don't like any of the candidates, on either side...I'll go with McCain if Hillary is on the Democrat ticket, there is no way in HELL I could stand to see that woman in the white house...But, if Obama makes the ticket I just might go with him...I have in no way made up my mine one way or the other, save for my utter disgust for Hillary...

We'd NEVER want to use "thou shalt not commit adultery" as the basis for law in this country - because it comes from the highly offensive Bible...

You all love to deny that our Declaration of independence was derived from John Locke's Two Treateses of Civil Government - which referenced the scriptures 1700 times.

Funny how you all say God and Country after September 11th - or God bless America - and then in the same sentence say protect Muslim's rights to practice their religion on our soil at all costs - but keep your religion inside the 4 walls of my church or my home. 

They take their religion out of their homes and blow themselves up - even in a "religious culture".  Soon Al Queda will be blamed for our economic collapse - that is why they attacked the world trade center - because they wanted to hit us at our wallets - because they hate that we're rich - and free

The war is bankrupting us too - could their be biblical sound advice about pre-emptive war? - No, of course not - our founders derived all their logic and laws from good intellect - not from God and the Golden Rule..right?

Why dont' we take God out of the schools - how about they stop taking our printed money and coin?

Send a child home if he has money on hiimself or herself?  But respect the wiccans and Halloween.

Murder is a crime in America - as long as it doesn't derive its origin from the Christian Bible - right?

We don't want obsenity laws - because a magazine vendor selling pornography is just making a living - until he(or one of his customers) rapes someone or molests someone - THEN maybe we'll follow the line that whatever you put in your ear-gate or your eye-gate just might determine how you behave - we don't want people to behave like Christians - because God is a cosmic kill-joy!

But on what basis should we administer justice to the rapist or molester or murderer - we certainly don't want to use history - or the bible that gave the sword to civil government - to punish evil-doers who murder other men since it says we're all made in the "His image" -

Did you know our three branches of of Government idea can be traced directly to Isaiah 33:22?
Did you know our Republican form of government - NO KINGS to rule over us - can be traced to Exodus 18:21?

I don't want the Bible to RULE over your lives - I just think, like that non-Christian Benjamuin Franklin, that it should be recommended reading for our youth - you know Benjamin Franklin - the printer who had the endorsement of Congress to print the 1782 version of the bible in English for use in our public schools after the end of the revolutionary way.

George Washington said Religion and Morality are indispensible supports in his farewell address, that we don't DARE teach Monroe and Jefferson High School students - because of the phrase separation of church and state which is not found in ANY founding document!

Separation of church and state means the government cannot endorse one denomination of Christianity upon the people(and relifion in those days meant ONLY Christianity) - they wanted the government to stay out of religion - but they never intended religious principles to be divorced from government.

The Christianity the pilgrims fled from was NOT the Christianity of the Bible - the King wouldn't allow British colonists to OWN a copy of the bible - unless it was an Anglican or Catholic version - because if they read it - they would point out all the Kings fault, and the people would dissent - a.k.a Revolution!

the principle of Self government comes from the bible - no government involved in WELFARE comes from the bible -

But you guys don't want it - and so you'll not vote for principled men like me who WILL NOT cave to external pressue in hopes of making the government less intrusive in you lives -

Funny how Ron Paul conservatives are now stumping for the ACLU(American Communist Lawyers Union)  - Punishment of evil-doers and national defense - that is government's role - period

We can disagree on religion all the day long, that is our 1st amendment right - but again - the Christianity of the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition is NOT the Christianity of the Bible - and THAT is what our founding fathers DID FOR YOU - if you want their principles brought back into government - you'd better ENDURE their history and their writings.

Don't vote for me - become a democracy - by popular vote - go ahead and SHUT UP ALL CHRISTIANS - read what James Madison and Thomas Jefferson thought of democracies - that will be the END of your Bill of Rights.

really?  who is trying to shut up all christians?  you certainly had no one stopping you from posting your essays on this forum.  we have free speech in this country which means you can stand on your soap box and say we need to put god in every government institution (as long as it is your god), and someone else can say that they disagree with you.
it may seem to you like people are trying to shut you up, but it is not because there is a conspiracy to get rid of god, it is because nobody wants to listen to an annoying fundamentalist.

I started this thread asking if it bothers anyone that Hillary stood by her adulterous man and we evolved into a homosexual and bible debate.  Gotta love the internet!

As a sidenote:  I have no problem with homosexuals and I'm not a bible thumper.
