I might stop by. I have been there before and it is a good little show and getting better every year. Yes, it is for a good cause and the price can't be beat.

We got there at 11am and already there were about a hundred cars.
We stayed until 3pm, but our 2+ year old grand daughter was ready for home.
She had face painting, hot dog, ice cream and balloons.
Must have been 200 to 300 cars then.
Good Music, Good People, Good Time and Good Cause.

I am very disappointed at the lack of coverage the MEN gave to this great benefit.  We were there in the afternoon and again later in the evening to watch the cars leave the dealership.  There was hardly a nod by the paper about this great event and NO PICTURES.  In the Photo Gallery, there are pics of the Jazz Festival and the Timberwolves game but nothing for the car show.
The coordinators of this event and sponsors go to a lot of hard work planning for this show.  It's a shame it can't get the coverage it deserves.  There were a lot of people there even up until 10pm.  The cars were great and so were the people.  Tom Shankie deserves a hats off for hosting this great benefit every year and for his community support.
Too bad the MEN doesn't think so.

Gets better every year and should of had more coverage and advertisement.

My biggest concern was crossing that street and getting from the shopping center to the dealership. Those cars were flying by and traffic was heavy. But, I made it across both times.  ;D

I agree erfire. I was there from 11 am to 4 pm with my car. My wife came by with our 2 little ones and we had a nice time looking at the cars. I met alot of nice people and spent most of the day talking with other "car guys". I was REALLY dissapointed not to see any coverage of the event. How much money did they finally end up raising?

Its simple...Car Shows dont pay!

No politics, guts, gore, wrecks, robberies, who screwed who, gossip  or which company is closing  because of taxes an gas prices according to the weather to fuel entertainment towards a viewing audience!!!

The Masses are brainwashed because for so long the Liberal Media has controlled your opinions, thoughts and have altered your view points.

Think about it....
Would you be willing to pay to see headlines saying: " Friendly Ford & Mercy Hospital Benefit Car Show was a success??

Studying up on W.R. Hearst and "Yellow Journlism" if you need more insight!!!

DSC.........I can't even begin to tell you how encouraging to see that there are other people who feel this way as well. I sit here and think how society is just going to s**t and I then I see this and realize that not everyone has lost their minds...........thank you.

I understand this was not the original intent of the post........but nevertheless I still felt it deserved a comment.

Oh, I'm aware of Mr. Hearst and his influence on American politics. Maybe if we had blown up a Navy ship in Cuba it would have made the news huh?  ;)

Thats ok..I started the post!
Thank you for posting your heartfelt thoughts of support!!!

Again, its no wonder that the public walks around pissed off all day long anymore.
We wake up to this garbage, we work in it and have to contend in it everyday then try and turn it off to sleep at night.
Who's suing who, Bush did this , Bush did that, Micheal Vick this, Anna Nicole that.

I hate it..I will not let my children even watch the garbage on TV cartoons or family shows!!!
These shows even make it out like everyday life is glamor or a Fantasy....Who are they trying to kid??

Call me an aging derlick...But I dont think I am off the beaten path with these issues!!

Sounds like you have a Letter to the Editor there!  That should help it get more coverage for next year.

I agree...
ERFIRE, you should fire one to the editor about this issue.  Also mention this thread!

Good Job...
