Best movie of the summer?
« on: August 21, 2007, 12:04:55 AM »

I haven't seen that many, but I have to say the two best for me were Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Hairspray. Any thoughts?

Me being a HUGE harry potter fan, i was very shocked when i found that transformers was i think the best movie of the summer. HP dissapointed me in the fact that it was the longest book of the series, but then the shortest movie. They cut out very necessary parts, and transformers on the other hand was i thought extremely well written and acted. I saw it twice actually.

I agree that some parts were cut out that needed to be there (example: the St. Mungos scene with Harry and the Weasleys) and my first reaction was mixed, but I saw it two more times and each time I liked it better. I haven't seen transformers. I wasn't a big fan to begin with, but I was planning on renting when it comes to DVD!

It'd be better if i didnt' get started on harry potter, i'd take quite some time.

I also wasnt a very big transformers (or Shia Labeouf fan either), but i was very shocked to be on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm definitely going to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD

I didn't think I'd like Transformers, but it was a really good movie and my kids really liked it.

I saw Harry Potter at the IMAX, 3-D style, haha. I, of course, expected the entire thing to be 3-D like Michael Jackson's Captain EO, but the last 20 minutes was enough for me.

I really liked the new Fantastic Four movie, which surprised me. Transformers was a lot better than I anticipated as well. I was a bit disappointed with the new Ocean's movie, but I'll have to say the BEST movie EVER released was Aqua Teen Hunger Force colon Movie Film for Theaters. Hahaha. I reckon not too many people saw that one.
