Wall Street Bailout
« on: April 03, 2008, 12:09:04 PM »

We taxpayers have invested 30 BILLION dollars in Bear Sterns sub-prime loans...NO THANK YOU BERNAKE!

Now we can look forward to bailing out the next investment bank that speculates it way to failure.

I am sure Wall $treet would love to get their hands on the social security fund so they can line their pockets and speculate the rest away knowing full well the government will bail them out with taxpayer dollar$.

Are you answering your own posts now?  Probably not much of a response, because most of your posts say the SAME THING!  Big money, big oil, the rich.....government regulation, government help, more government.....it's tiring.  Once again, do you consider yourself a victim of everything?  Go out and make it for yourself.  I agree with the poster who asked you to try to run your own business to gain a broader prospective and understanding of everything you anxiously await to bash!   Big Government is not the answer to everything!

Good for you.
I think government should be as big as is required to get the job done.
What do you think about all of the financial institution bailouts we have seen since the 80s?

Oh you mean like the assistance the airlines got so they could stay afloat and provide millions of jobs to people who work in airports, build airplanes, provide an economy for deliveries of peopel, packages, life saving equipment, our military...etc...etc.  Or the assistance Chrysler got in order to remain open and competetive and provide hundreds of thousands of Union jobs to our loyal auto workers?  Or most recently the assistance Bear Sterns got in order to save our entire baniking system and quite possibly a leg of our shaky economy right now?
