..........someone pass the popcorn.  I find this all very entertaining......and interesting.

I can't pick a side, because I wasn't there and I don't know the people involved.  I do know this is a very litigious society.  It's wrong that he did this, but it could be.

Not my place to insert an opinion here.

You know, MM1, you are correct. If the paper  doesn't like you, oh well, too bad, they will destroy you or destroy your reputation.  I really wish life was fair, that the court system in Monrioe and other small towns were honest and dealt fairly with the people here, but until we get a maverick that comes in town and cleans up this whole town, it just isn't going to happen.
My advice is if you unfortunately get in some sort of trouble, don't get a local lawyer, but seek counsel somewhere else. The lawyers and the court house are real cosy with each other, you pat my back and I'll pat yours. Especially the prosecuting attorneys so beware, and God, I hope you never need to find out what goes on in this town.

I don't believe that those girls or the girl that is 19 now is totally innocent. Did anyone see her in court and what she was wearing? It seems as though she wearing clothles that she would wear to a bar. (Flirty) She should at least dress properly and make it look like she is totally innocent. I believe it had to do with wages and since he wouldn't raise their pay then they would come back and get him because they were mad. I don't care what you other people think either! It's my opinion!

I saw. She was wearing capri dress pants with a turtle neck sweater and vest over it. It's pretty sad you're trying to defend this man who is obviously guilty by a jury of 12 and just lost both of his buildings for not paying rent. You must be family or him disguise. I know the girls and the families, and anything is gets is not as bad as he deserves.

Wait a minute, why isn't this a sex offender case? Didn't he show the porn to a minor?

Brian, make sure you get a diner in there that's open 24/7 :P

He did indeed, Lordfly. My cousin was one of them. I was just asked to come on and defend them because the guy(or his family) is on here saying infactual information about the girls that were victims. None of the girls were dressed flirty in court, all were dressed in dress clothes... nothing short, nothing revealing. I stake my life on it.

the thing is he got a fair trial. If you believe everything Rose tells you, you would have to believe that a few teenagers brought down a business owner based on lies, and 12 jurors were so stupid they believed all the lies. that all the witnesses for the prosecution were lying and Jeff was the only person telling the truth.

It doesn't matter! If she dresses like she is going to a bar at court than how did she dress at her job?
It makes me wonder? She is one of the girls who reported him and than goes in court looking like she is trying to pick up someone? She should dress modest since she says he tried to show her porn.

again, no one was dressed inappropriately in court. I was there. This is family or jeff trying to sully the names of these innocent victims. I haven't read it all yet, but my cousin called and said someone on here was claiming this was all over them not getting a raise. For God's sake, that had NOTHING to do with him showing inappropriate material to underage girls. In court I even heard a guy say about one of the young girls while she was on the stand "that girl deserves to be raped." You people make me sick and I hope he goes away for a few years to think about his wrong-doings.

I've had reasons to deal with the courts in Monroe, local attorneys and the prosecutor as well.  I've had a fair experience myself.  I can't complain about any of it from first-hand experience.

The courts and city halls are synonymous with politicians.  There's a "good old boy" network wherever you go.  Big town or little Monroe.  That's called "Life". Is it fair?  No.  And, a whole big heapin' part of Life isn't fair.
