There is no reason or excuse for an adult employer to show pornographic material to 15-year-old girls under any circumstances. It does not matter if they asked for it or if they are bad kids.

Yeah, it's hard to defend this.

If you own property or a business, you're liable for what happens there.

If a teen drinks in your home or business, you're on the hook. The end.  It doesn't matter whether you served it to them or not.   This is no different.

In my opinion, this all sounds like an "old guy" wanting to be young and cool with the teens.

Well, here is what some of you have been waiting for. The article on the events. Guess he was evicted yesterday for not paying rent too. I wonder if he realized he would be found guilty and decided not to pay his rent since he might be in jail.  ???

He was  evicted the same day as convicted. Double ouch. Guess that's what happens when you're $6000.00 behind in rent.

I think I might be concerned what my tenants are doing outside of paying rent, but hey, it's not my building!
Perhaps the MEN didn't include all of Mr. Beneteau's thots.

Unfortunately we cannot babysit all of our tenants. There is always a provision in the lease agreements which state the conduct of the business and the use of the premises. The police and the court system took care of that provision by Mr. Fraunhoffer's trial. Our eviction proceedings were simply for non payment of rent, and had nothing to do with the court case. It was just coincidence that the eviction and conviction both took place on the same day. If it would have been up to me, the eviction would have taken place two months ago. The length of the eviction proceedings, made longer by the Fraunhoffer's attorney filing a cover sheet for their bankruptcy, extended the eviction process by approximately a month. So, some of my thoughts would not be able to be printed in the news, so I will keep them to myself. I'll just say that things worked out like they should have.

Wait a minute, why isn't this a sex offender case? Didn't he show the porn to a minor?

Brian, make sure you get a diner in there that's open 24/7 :P

Which shift would you like to work?  Midnight to 8AM? I'll pass it on to the new owners.

Who wants to babysit tenants? I can understand that and paying rent on time!
I'm sure your lease agreements do state what is acceptable conduct! Obey the law!

I never went much to the place. When I did I thot the food was good. I thot the man had a family. I feel for them.

What age can kids work w/out parental permission? I thought it was 16.

The food was good. He has a family, and we all feel for them. Hopefully they will all support each other through this difficult time and move forward.
As for kids working, I had a job at fourteen but needed a work permit signed by my parents. I couldn't tell you if that has changed or not. It has been a little while ago.

I checked it out.
From the State of Michigan website:
"Minors are required to have a work permit, which can be obtained at any Michigan local school district, intermediate school district, public school academy or non-public school. Generally, teens must be at least 14 years old for most jobs; however, children as young as 11 can work as a golf caddy or sports referee. Children, 13 years of age or older, can work on farms."

I started babysitting at 12.
My first "job" was fast food at 16.
 :)
I think every young person needs to learn a good work ethic.
I hope to pay my kid's way through college...I want them to work at learning!
