Cabela's would def be the place to go for anything you need for Archery... and even fishing..

Very good info here...  But, don't go to Crapbelas!!!!!  Very unknowlegeable and way too high priced.  Check the gun and bow clubs.  They will help you out.  Check out 3-Rivers Archery if you want to shoot traditional.  They are in Indiana, and I can help you out.

Exactly, Zard.  People need to realize - Cabela's has a HUGE overhead...  that has to be paid for somehow.  Now and then, you can get a good deal with one of their loss-leaders, but their everyday prices suck.

Look on craigslist for a used bow. I got one with all the add ons for a $100. Took it to Adams and had it tuned up, saved a bunch of cash and have a great bow. Cabela's, and Cooks will charge way to much for a starter bow. Get something that has adjustable weight to it and have fun.
