Proper carb cleaning and adjustment on some machines isn't "cookie cutter" type work on some units. It does seem like there was a communication disconnect between you and the folks at Magnum.
Sorry you had a bad experience with them. In some ways it is a reflection on our industry as a whole.

Just a general compliant/observation.  I hear much belly-aching in Monroe about how tough jobs are to come by and how people shop out-of-town.   Does it ever occur to business owners in Monroe that their perspective customers grow weary of being either treated like an idiot or talked to as if they are second-class citizens?   How many times in just the past 6 months have I called to have some work done around my home and either the contractor doesn't want to be bothered to do the work or complains that the work is hard once he gets there.  That's why it's called "work" and if I'm more than willing to pay someone to do something that I cannot otherwise do, then why is that such an inconvenince to them?   Don't even get me started on the nasty/surly office staff at many of Monroe's public offices and private businesses.  There are many professional, pleasant workers that would love to have to job where they interact with the public.  So why does it seem only the rude and irriated ones have those jobs?   I so appreciate the pleasant individuals I encounter but it seems they are far and few between.    I had heard this same complaint from others for years but discounted it, but after living in other cities and then returning to Monroe, I am now a believer.

When DTE had the payment center there were a few woman that worked there. There was this nice young girl in her mid-twenties, then there was this cold-hearted beotch. I hated getting her. I would wait extra time in line to get the nice girl.

I agree, if you are going to do business with people, doesn't it make sense to be a people person?

For those reasons I will never bank at MB&T again. I don't know if it was because I was overweight and the girls there are like Barbie's, or if was becaause I never had more than $200 in there at a time. It used to bother me so much I HATED going inside past the ATM.

No offense to the nice people that work at MB&T, but I never did business with a nice teller EVER!

We also have had wonderful service from Temperance Animal Hospital. I will not go anywhere else.

Temperance is great, they are avery qualified and caring bunch.

The Burger King on LaPlaisance!  We have been there numerous times.  Each and every time, our order was incorrect.  On top of that, we would get cold food at times.  Why did we go back?  Because it is closer to us than than other(and on our way home), we just kept hoping that it would be right this time that we went in. 

Well, the last time that we went back a few weeks ago, they completely messed up our order.  We were missing food, the buns were stale, the fries were cold and mushy.  I had had enough!!  I called to speak with a manager.  She stated that she was sorry and that I could come back and they would "fix" my order.  I told her no, and that I wasn't ever going to come back. 

She continued the conversation to say that they would put me in "the book" and that if I came back (even at a later date) that we could get our whole order replaced as well as complimentary desserts.  After discussing with her how there is no quality control there and how I always see people standing there doing nothing when I get cold food, I just hung up never expecting to go back.

Well, one day after work, my husband asked me to pick up BK and mentioned that we had a free meal coming our way.  So, I decided to stop in.  I was in fact in this book, but they would not replace the order in its entirety.  They stated that it was too large or an order, but they could do parts.  I was furious!  I guess that I can pay for a full order, but cannot get one!  Anyway, our order was correct (I stood there and checked each and every item at the counter), but we didn't receive any desserts, no satisfactory customer service, just overall: nothing.

I will never go there again!  I will instead travel across town to the one on Telegraph if BK is what we desire 




As for Monroe Vet, I actually have taken both of my dogs there (with the new vets).  As for neutering/spaying, they were great.  Surgeries went well, and they took great care of our dogs. We did have some issues when one of dogs came down with an infection that they couldn't figure out what it was.  Instead, we had to seek a second opinion.  Also, the last time we were in, we spent almost $60 for Frontline flea and Heartgard heartworm preventative medications for 2 medium sized dogs.  Mind you, this is a one-time monthly dose!  We now get our meds through the popular place you hear about on TV, and we haven't had to take our dogs anywhere else since this last incident.  So I am glad to hear about the places that you guys have recommened because I will probably be trying those vets out the next time they need shots!

I believe that all of the bk's are owned by the same corp out of toledo.  You need to get the number which is (or should be) listed on their window and give them a call.  My husband (long long time ago) was a manager and issues got taken care of when someone from corporate called.  Give it a try what have you got to lose.  It is BK who will lose in the long run.

Mercy Memorial Hospital.

   The ER is ok, i guess. you never get seen fast enough at any ER, but if you need a procedure done, or god forbid you get admitted overnight for "further testing" they SUCK. the nurses act like any time you ask them a question, or need something, you interupted their iron clad rounds schedule. And forget about inquiring about when the doctor will have results, or orders.
  If they are so damn busy hire more nurses aids! It's not like they arn't charging you enough to have your own personal assistant.
  I just know there will be a nurse jumping down my throat any minute, but this has been my experience EVERY time I am admitted there.

i went to the wendys on telegraph when it was in the old location...they got my order wrong nine times in a row...so just dont think its burger king that does things wrong! whenever a fast food joint gets my orders wrong from now on they lose my business for about a year. how hard is it to pay attention to what we are saying?

The wife brought home something, that was suppose to be sweet and sour pork, from the Chinese place next to Food town on telegraph. It taste like cardboard. Threw the stuff away.

Downtown Hound (next to River Raisin Vet Clinic).  We used to take our dogs there for baths once in a while, and they were always rude to us in there, for whatever reason.  Usually, when I take my pugs anyplace, they are fawned over and people love them.  The groomers there seriously seemed to NOT like animals, which was odd to me.  I am going to try out the groomers at Petsmart next....

As the owner of over a half dozen atv's and road bikes we've dealt with all sorts of power sports stores and I have to disagree with the OP, first being a female it's NEVER easy getting any service in a power sports store. STUPID STUPID sales people neglect a woman in any store. Fools don't realize we carry the checkbook..... and many credit cards. I signed all the papers for all the Quads we've purchased from Magnum they NEVER dismiss me. EVER! As for repairs ....... I've had no problems w/them but we aren't in too often for repairs. I have to say the parts department is quite timely. I had to defend them from the first post.... haven't read beyond there. So I'm sure I'll be back.

I've got body shop stories though that would make one weep. LOL
But I will hold them since the owners are quite um...... sue happy.... or so I've heard. So I'll keep my fingers still on that .

ohhhhhh...... and mufflers/brake shops... Muffler man would probably never see a car/truck/matchbox from me again. I used them for a quick fix on my Expedition they should have had it ready in a few hours but unfortunately someone didn't brake another vehicle in for repair and it rolled into mine. Causing ALOT OF damage!! ALOT..... (see the body shop hint above LMAO)
