No where in that statement did it say anything about French being accused of being you or MO3.... so where is your point? Don't ASSUME that I didn't read everything else... you have no proof of it, and as I said, that post above was nonsense because you were sticking up for the 'new poster' and for what? For example, we're now considering whether to add a new rule to the Terms of Service banning multiple accounts from the same IP address. As many users have noticed, there have been some flagrant abuses in recent days.

It won't do any good.  At best, it'll keep the honest honest.  The rest will find another computer to log in from, use a proxy, whatever.   And it'll block more than one person in a household from having an account.  MOT and Jim Richards will still be on here (or maybe just one of them depending on your point of view) accusing everyone who doesn't agree with them of being Brian Beneteau.  If you want to do something, just ban the "flagrant abuse" and reserve the right to banish someone for that violation.

Hey Dan, if you'd like the opinion of someone outside of all this bickering, arguing, who's who bullsh--, here it is:

Leave the forum as it is. It doesn't really matter. Those of us who don't like this crap simply don't read it, except perhaps to entertain ourselves and have a laugh when the other threads we're posting in are a little slow. It's much more entertaining to watch them try to "out" someone with multiple accounts than it is to read about what they're thinking about right now, what song is stuck in their heads, or if they're cuddle bugs. Most of the time it's confined to a particular thread, as is the case with this one, so it's easily avoidable. Let them have their fun like the rest of us. It's what they do, so let them do it. Hell, they even have a thread now asking if the people who are logged in influence whether or not they log in. You can change the rules, but you can't change the people. They're gonna argue and ***** at each other anyway, so there's really no reason to make changes.

I know it's probably too much trouble to read the entire thread before sticking your foot in your mouth. Just like the posts prior to this I was forced to go do the homework because some, like you, come on like an unarmed man at at the O K Corral. I am getting tired of literally babysitting and tutoring. But here goes. I was making a point that just because someone uses.... (dots), That does NOT make them someone else.

Funny stuff the troll b gone bit. I am really thinking that I am dealing with mentally challenged individuals that probably find it hard to tie their shoes. #1 Opinions are not allowed.
#2 Topics are pretty well useless, because attacks take precedence.
#3 I probably am, for the most part, just arguing with the same person under different aliases.
#4 The majority only want to have conversations amongst themselves. No newcomers allowed.
#5 There is no winning and what do you win? The possibility of anonymous people accepting you?
#6 People Lie and then defend it to the end even when shown to be wrong.
#7 It does not seem that anything will change the attacks or the people making the attacks.
#8 A BIG WASTE OF TIME that could be done doing something productive.
Is that enough? I could go on for days about the way most of you act like little children on the playground.
I got the wrong idea about coming on here for goodhearted entertainment.

I'm at a disadvantage here because I missed the thread that has caused all the uproar. I have to say though that when I registered here several months ago I was appalled at some of the name calling posts that I saw and that were allowed to stay without being deleted.

As a long time veteran of message boards, I was bemused to find that this one was 'self-moderated' and that many posters took advantage of that and ignored just plain basic common courtesy and etiquette. I frequently post to another message board where the moderation is so heavy handed that it's ridiculous. I've seen posts get deleted that in no way violated the forum's TOS and they've lost many posters because of it.

On the other hand it appears (from what little I can gather now) that some kind of slug fest was going on here recently. As Mr. Shaw points out in his blog entry, intervention probably did a lot of people a favor.

I think  many people don't understand that your right to free speech ends when it infringes on someone else's integrity and reputation. I only wish I knew what the hell happened so I could give a better opinion on how it was resolved.
