Big Ten Games on Tv
« on: September 02, 2007, 07:08:26 AM »

I am paying Charter over $150 a month for digital HDTV, digital phone and internet access.
I had to listen to yesterday's Michigan game on the radio.
Come on Charter and Comcast, the Dish Network will be getting my business if you guys can't get it together.

I agree! My friends in Boston used to have a hard time finding a cable company or even bar to watch the Michigan games at; now, it's easier for them to get it than us - and we only live 40 miles away!

Don't get Dish network. They do not get the big ten network. Direct TV does. and also Buckey Cable.

$150 a month for cable??????????????????????????????

Do you live in front of the TV?

It would be cheaper to buy tickets and go to the games.

Calm down, I know Chips and I was just razzing him.

Your only 22 years old, ask Chips what he paid for TV, phone and... well there was no internet, when he was 22. See if you think it is still a pretty fair price. Every business now a days is out to get a monthly payment from everyone. Then they keep increasing them. After awhile there is no room for anymore monthly payments to be added. Cable TV isn't worth the price at any cost (Everything is re-runs and old movies) and cable phone works about two-thirds of the time, and my internet drops constantly, but since it's a monopoly I can't get anything else besides dialup. Yeah, that's pretty fair, but for those prices it should be GOOD.

Hi Fred,
The early bird catches the worm.
Lets see it is around $40 for DSL and another $40 for digital phone and the rest is for digital HDTV and the DVR. What do you pay?
Did you ever try to buy tickets for a Michigan Game?

LOL When I was a student my season tickets hardly costs much more than what you pay for 1 month - and those I could re-sell (just one ticket sometimes!) and break even for the entire season! Wish you could re-sell crappy cable/dsl/etc.

Who wants worms??? Get up late and you get omlettes.
I just sign the pay check and hand it to my wife. It's too depressing to pay bills these days.
I dropped Digital Cable there wasn't anything worth watching on it. Went back to the very cheapest cable available and Internet service.
Never been to a football game other than High school games. Then it was to see my sons in the band.

i called comcast n raised all kinds of hell! course it doesnt do any good! but i let it be known!

why do i have to pay for 20 mexican music stations an arab station and whatever else but cant have the bigten network?

i went to toledo to watch the game at one of the american legions that still allows smoking!

and you probably could have gotten tickets outside for 20 bucks or less  for that game if you would have waited near kickoff time to buy them from the scalpers. no one would have imagined that the outcome was probably the best game in the nation!!

give the mountaineers credit..they were prepared and are probably the best team the wolverines will see all year.

Being from Monroe, now living in Jersey i can understand your point about what you pay for cabl;e and not getting the B10 network.  I fortunately have DISH Network, and get to see some Big Ten games now.  But the way Michigan has played so far this year, they probably won't even be telecasted on B10.  GO BLUE!
