Monroe County Parent
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:41:19 AM »

Considering the web page for the Monroe County Parent has now been moved to this forum, would it be possible to have a "parenting" category?  Or am I just being picky?

I agree; it would be nice to have a place to talk about parenting issues without us bothering others on the board.

It wasn’t that popular in the old forums so why bother.
It already appears the topic is established and thus far I haven’t seen one comment actually concerning parenting…. Is everybody just waiting for an official category first?
I don’t care one way or the other…. It was just an observation.

On a somewhat unrelated topic, The M.E.N. added a “free” category to the paper but I wonder why?
Free items were always very easy to find in the $125 or less section anyway (Unless they plan to do away with that category because they don’t produce revenue)

Ditto!

I think we've had several threads (preschool, dining and kids, parenting today what's the answer, etc) that could belong on this category.

I did pass this suggestion on to via the "Feature Requests" category.  Hopefully when the list moderator guys are back to work after the holiday, they will let us know!

Thanks MomEm ... perhaps with your "hero talker" status you will be able to make it happen! :) :) :)

But contrary to Frenchfry's reply, there have been many topics that would be able to fall under the parenting category.  I don't feel like I am waiting for a category to engage in parenting conversations, I just thought it would be nice so other people don't have to sift through stuff they don't care about.

Parenting is something we all should care about.
It takes a village……

LOL! I don't think that will help any.  It hasn't helped me with anything else.  I just mentioned it because its kind of a separate area on the site which is easily looked over, but that thread is monitored frequently but administration.
