We always have this dessert dish.

2 packages of lady fingers, (If you don't have lady fingers, you can use twinkies instead, my ex prefers the one with twinkies)

2 Boxes of Jello Brand Pistachio Pudding

1 Container of Cool Whip

1 Giant Size Hershey Chocolate Bar with Almonds.

1 13 x 9 Inch Pan.

Put the lady fingers or twinkies in the bottom of the pan, If you use twinkies cut them in 1/2 and put the creme center side up.

Mix the 2 boxes of Pistachio Pudding and pour over the top of the base.

Cover the pudding with the Cool Whip.

Freeze the chocolate bar. Then while it is still in the wrapper, smash it with a hammer, try and make sure that all the pieces are smaller than 1/4 inch. Sprinkle on the top of the cool whip.

Let it firm up in the fridge until it's ready to eat.

I'd be yelling, "Come on, ice cream!"

Angel food cake (or white cake will work) drizzle red jello (and flavor) and blue jello (I think its blue raspberry flavor)  Dot with cool whip (for the white)

The jello is drizzled while still liquid and is allowed to soak into cake. Then when you cut the cake you also get the pretty colors.

Another variation - is to drizzle the cake with the 2 jellos then cover with cool whip or white frosting and top with red white and blue sprinkles.  When cut into you get the white cake and the red and blue coloring.
