We have been there a few times and I hated every one. The food seemed old, and chewy. The dishes did not seem clean. We will not be going back.

IMO, the Chinese place in the old Wendy's building  on Monroe St. has the best sweet and sour chicken, made with REAL chicken, not chickens that say MEOW.

Yea I don't go to the one by Kroger anymore.  Not after I saw a few of their employees wondering around the wooded area in back of their resteraunt wearing what looked like industrial plastic gloves.  I'm thinking they are trapping something back there and serving it up in the sweet and sour chicken.  YUM sweet and sour possum  :-X

Well all I can say is that any chicken I have eaten there has been white meat, not gray or a color chicken should not be.

That is libelous, and you should be ashamed for posting such a thing without any evidence or proof. That's a good Monroe business and here you are dragging it through the mud just because you saw someone in the woods?

They have great food, we eat there all the time, never had a problem.

Hey I saw what I saw.  If you like eating possum disguised as sweet and sour chicken than more power to you buddy.

As for being ashamed...NEVER!

I love sweet & sour chicken so where on Monroe is it located?

I hated the China Gate…. barely warm dried out food.

The Chinese restaurant on Telegraph and West Rd had funny tasting chicken so I’ll never go there again.

The wife and I always go to the Rose Garden on Telegraph and Ford Rd for good sweet and sour chicken (and egg rolls)

I’d rather remain around Monroe.

I haven’t been to the Asiana yet…..Does anyone know anything about the place?

I love Asiana.  The food is good and they have Thai Iced Tea.  My family hates it, but their taste buds are off.  Their favorite Chinese place is Hawiian Islands in Trenton.

For some reason the people that love Asiana don't like China Express (by Kroger) and vice versa.
Our family prefers China Express. Asiana food seemed bland in comparison.  We have never had a bad meal there and the family that runs the place is always friendly.  We always get Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken (the best I've ever had), Mongolian Beef, Pork Fried Rice, and I love their egg rolls.

I never ate at China Buffet.  The only other Chinese place I eat at in Monroe is the place on Monroe St. that used to be a Wendy's.  For some reason I love the Peking Ribs.

It's in the old wendy's building nest to Michigan Bar. The sweet and sour chicken is very good but it is more sweet than sour, and the chicken they use is all white meat. If you go there try the garlic chicken its very delicious. The vegetables are a little crunchy than most, but they are fresh. We have been to Asiana only once and everything was very good.
