GOP Presidential Debate Set for Oct. 9 in Dearborn

 

CNBC/Wall Street Journal Debate Comes to Heart of America’s Auto Industry

DEARBORN, Mich. – The home of American’s automotive industry will be the backdrop Oct. 9 as Republican presidential candidates gather here for the next major televised debate of the 2008 Presidential Primary Campaign, the Michigan Republican Party and the University of Michigan-Dearborn announced today.

 

The debate, sponsored by CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, will be held at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Mich., a suburb of Detroit. CNBC will broadcast the two-hour debate beginning at 4 p.m. on Oct. 9, with MSNBC re-broadcasting the event at 9 p.m. the same evening. The debate format, as well as its moderator, will be determined after further discussions with representatives from the respective campaigns.
