Lol... Why do I have a feeling this forum is going to eventually lead to a City riot?

SOj:

City riot. I created the topic and I don't see it happening. However, if it can be pulled off maybe it
will get a little attention. Folks in this country aren't paying attention. We've got huge fiscal problems
etc. etc. etc. and no one seems to care. So a little debate can't be worse than nothing.

I was just kidding. I doubt it will seriously lead to a riot.

I challenged FF & LF to meet me in a public debate. So far LF has chickened out and FF has not responded. Would you attend, and pay a couple bucks (just enough to pay for debate location)
to see us exchange. My thought is a townhall meeting scenario where we respond to questions
from the audience. I think it would be a hoot. What do you say.

That’s the purpose of the creation of this post…..to spotlight the townhall debate issue demanded by McCain but you, like McCain, haven’t been able to mount any good arguments to debate.

The talking points you’ve presented, or more accurately could be described as parroting, have been easily dismissed.

I can sense your desperation to demonize the opposition in much the same way that McCain has gone but the majority that actually believe the fabrications are the Republican faithful and they’re already committed to the party.

Your campaign, again like McCain’s, is futile.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be much enthusiasm for the idea. However,
I do want commend LF for accepting the challenege. As for FF. As expected.

I'll gladly volunteer to take his place on that card.

That would be more interesting.  FF is way too predictable.  He'd just repeat his opening, Republican hating statement over and over and over and........

Here's another idea...John Kopke and Lordly, prepare cars for the 2009 Monroe County Fair Demolition Derby...Kopke can paint I <3 McCain on his car, assuming  McCain is still alive at that point to <3.

I kind of like that idea... ;D

Now that's something I would pay to see...

Would that be... a chickening out?

I don't expect Lordfly and Shaggy to give John much of a run for the money.
I remember a liberal professor at Maryland saying the only way to beat Milton Friedman in a debate was to deny him the premise he intended to argue from. She said given the premise he intended to argue from that he would build an argument that was so logical and sound, there was no to beat him.
All of John's arguments are logical and sound. I have yet to hear a logical and sound argument from Lordfly or Shaggy.

Really?  Where have my arguments not been logically sound?  Now as for LF he is probably one of the most logical debaters on this site.  He rarely gets emotional and uses facts to back up his claims.  I also try to do the same as often as I can but I tend to let my emotions get a hold of me on occasion.
