I don't think that it sounds weird at all......I bet that your Grandpa was rocking in that rocking chair and Your Mom was really protecting you in that car accident.

Have you (or anyone) ever read any of Sylvia Browns books? Or seen her on tv?  She's amazing.

No thanks for mentioning her.  I will have to check out her work.

Please don't take offense at what I'm about to say, as it's not meant to offend anyone.

I'm so glad I'm not the only "weirdo" out there that believes this really does exist.  Both of my sisters, along with my husband think I'm weird for believing in this sort of thing.  I've had many of my own personal experiences, some of them with my husband close by, others with one or both of my kids nearby.  I often "see" that glimpse of something or someone in the corner of my vision, but when I turn my head to see what it was, nothing is there or it is gone.  Peculiar things happen around us alot, unexplainable by most people.

I am also a fan of Ghost Hunters, and just recently my daughters have both begun watching with me.

I like listening to Coast to Coast AM...when they have their "Ghost to Ghost" programs, it's good listening..shadow people and all that. I miss Art Bell though.

I have been told you can hear voices and doors slamming in the old Frank's Nursery buildings on M50.

The buildings where the plane wreckage was stored are the ones in question.
I have heard that. I just wish I knew who to contact about it.

Yes I have. I'm hoping to get to do it again sometime.
I got an some interesting EVP's. Some sounds that can't be accounted for.
Also, it sounded that I got a "voice" I said, hello, and what I got on the recorder that I did not hear at the time. When I said hello, it sounded like someone said, "Go away".

Hey Mayo, I know a guy that worked there for many, many years.  He has told me some stories of that place.

Did you know there were tunnels that ran underground there?

He said the tunnels were definitely full of civil war spirits.

I have heard about that. I also heard that there are other tunnels around Monroe.

Anyone know of any homes or businesses in Monroe County that would like an investigation?

M.E.N. would like to do a story about the group that I associate with.
We have been trying to find a place that is inside because of the weather.  Getting colder, more damp, wind.

If you know of a place or have any suggestions... Post where and someone from the group, or myself will follow-up on it.
Private matters,  questions? you can PM me.

Thanks in advance.

My best friends old house was definately haunted but they've moved :( Which really bums me out because her mom and her sisters are so into the paranormal so I know they would have let you come investigate their house! I personally would LOVE to see the Elk's Lodge investigated - after what I've felt in that house I know there has to be something in there. I'm not one that ghosts follow or show themselves to either so for me to have an experience must be something pretty big.

All great info.  I got a chance to see a ghost hunting presentation at the Dorsh Library last year, it was very interesting.

I thought the same thing about the Elk's Lodge, it's creepy.   Another super old house is the Sawyer House and while growing up (it was abandoned then), we were always told it was haunted.  It used to scare me until I became a teen.  Thats when my adventure started there or at least I thought it would.  A couple of us went inside "many many" times at night just to poke around and it was very cool but we never ever heard anything in there, never saw anything in there, nothing!  We tried hard too, sitting in the dark quiet and waiting and we never experienced any activity.  The house actually seemed to have a nice peace about it.  I realize that we were trespassing and it sounds funny to say that we were honestly good kids, but we never damaged anything, just walked around exploring.  It was cool and it felt like ours.  Well, until the day they started renovating it for that Women's Center.  It sat empty and untouched for sooooo many years too but I was way to young to venture in there....boogie men existed then to me.   :D

I could see where the Sawyer House could give that vibe. I've been in there many times and I've never really felt anything weird in there. I just get the creeps everytime I go to the Elk's to work on the haunted house lol so maybe something cool will happen when we're running the haunted house for the public to come in :)

Well, I'll give it to you guys. You sure are very brave. The way I see it, there is only good and evil. And if this "thing" is not nice and leaving marks on you, it's just pure evil. And I would never, never mess with that. LOL
I have only been to one house, that as soon as I walked in and felt it's presence, I walked right the hell out. LOL  It's like when you look at someone and know immediately, something isn't right with that person. And once again back the hell away man. LOL
