Does John McCain's possible mental issues worry you?
I recall in 1992 Ross Perot's running mate Vice Admiral James Stockdale was crucified because he had mental issues from being a POW. Although Perot at one point in June/July of 1992 had 39% of public support, pundits believe it was his running mate's status of POW and possible mental instability that cost Perot the election.
McCain has a very similar past and has shown these mentalities on the Senate floor, and it is no secret that the US Navy believes McCain is unhinged and is a serious liability.
Doesn't this possibility worry you about McCain becoming Commander in Chief?
Why or why not?
All you have to do is do a google search for McCain - Mental instability and US Navy liability.

Housegate is part of a larger problem with McCain. There have been several slips like this, which we have simply assumed is the usual Republican lying that we've all come to expect. For example, when McCain stated that had he been president he wouldn't have appointed several Supreme Court justices that he actually VOTED to CONFIRM. Many of us thought that this was a deliberate attempt to fabricate and distort his own record... but it certainly follows his pattern of mental lapses.
The thought of this man in the white house, when we don't even know if he's medically sane or not, is extremely frightening.

It didn't take a lot of digging to come to the conclusion that although John McCain is liked by the public in general. Those who have worked with him or know him personally generally do not like him. And the reason is because in addition to his knee jerk temper, he's basically a very unpleasant man. Reports of writing scathing letters to fellow senators mocking them are referred to as "McCain notes" and are well known. Former Rep. John LeBoutillier, a New York Republican said "People who disagree with him get the 'f*** you."
In McCain's home state of Arizona it's the same story. The voters have a generally good opinion of the man, but those who know him well do not. Despite endorsing McCain in all 5 of his bids for public office, the largest newspaper in his home state, The Arizona Republic published a front page article during the 2000 election saying it wanted to warn the rest of the nation about McCain's "volcanic" temper. Among the recipients of McCain's flash temper have been Republican Gov. Jane Hull, former Republican Gov. Rose Mofford and former Democratic Mayor Paul Johnson of Phoenix. Johnson said of McCain's temper, "His volatility borders in the area of being unstable," Johnson also said "Before I let this guy put his finger on the button, I would have to give considerable pause."
John McCain claims to be the most qualified to be commander in chief. But many well known military leaders are very skeptical about a McCain presidency. Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton who from 2003 to 2004 was in charge of training Iraqi security forces and a Clinton supporter said "I like McCain, I respect McCain. But I am a little worried by his knee-jerk response factor." "I studied leadership for a long time during 32 years in the military," and "It is all about character. Who can motivate willing followers? Who has the vision? Who can inspire people? I have tremendous respect for John McCain, but I would not follow him" are the words of retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Scott Gration, a one-time Republican who is supporting Obama.
We're at war my fellow Americans and we can ill afford to have a president who could even be suspected of being mentally unstable. Our country posses the power to wipe out mankind and that is NOT something we need to be taking chances with. I understand that from a distance it's hard not to like the guy. Especially considering his military service and the hell he went through. But were not talking about awarding a meritorious medal. This is the most powerful office in the world and if there is the slightest reason to believe any candidate is mentally unstable, they must be kept out of office.

For those in rose colored-chaps who would like to paint a picture of a charitable Mrs. McCain, there's another side to the story. Sure, she started a charitable organization to provide medication to people overseas and then she started syphoning off the pain meds to herself. When she was using so much, she forced a doctor who worked for the organization to write prescriptions for herself and then in the names of other employees and she filled those prescriptions.
The doctor lost his medical license.
Cindy got 3 months probation. She had some powerful connections.
Read and learn.
