Hmm.  I must've missed something, my apologies then.

For a guy who's been all over the western Europe his ancestors left behind I can honestly say some of them are great places to visit but Michigan is my home and always will be.  It's just a damn shame we now have to fight off the socialist tendencies of our overlords that the European cousins accepted decades ago.  One would think Americans would be more astute but, alas, that's not the case: sheeple know no continent and the grass is always greener on the other side...

The thing that people don't realize is that socialism is an excellent idea if you get the right leaders in.  Why can't you just accept that?

Socialism denies the existence of, and even the very notion of, private property.  When one takes another's property without his consent it's called thievery, and thieves are outside the law of any culture worth preserving.  If our European cousins have debased themselves to such a condition their cultures will righfully and anon disintegrate.  I'd prefer to sit on the sidelines and watch those events unfold from a distance, safe in the knowledge that ours won't soon follow...

Here's a nice snippet from Canada.

Wonder who OWNS their leaders?

Maybe the same bankers that own ours?

Enjoy.

That's funny, I wasn't aware the land in the UK, France, Spain, and so on were owned by the state.

In fact, I'm pretty sure they still have private property laws just like us. Imagine that!

You're conflating communism with socialism. Two entirely different things.

They have about as much "private property" left as we do: try not paying your property rent or your automobile "registration" and the state will show you who really owns it...

What's wrong with property taxes or automobile registration?  If you drove on your own privately built roads I can understand you getting upset about registration, but since you don't own any roads what's the big deal?

Then there is this from our friends in the north.

Seems like there are some disgruntled Canadians bothered by the CFR and NAFTA, go figure.

Do you, alone, own the roads that were built by the State?

That's a ludicrous question.  We The People own the public roads, not the state.

The State is made up and represents The People. It is the instrument of The People's will.
