what a shame that this child is missing and our own paper hasnt even covered the story...we need to find this child and the more people are made aware of this child missing, the more we can help...shame on you monroe evenings news...

This is just awful. I read up on missing children on Websleuths, a forum dedicated to tracking down the missing. Not sure if they have a post on this little girl there yet, but I will register there and post one if needed.

In the meantime, I think it'd be a good idea to send the girl's photo and info to everyone in our address books.

brown hair and brown eyes
last seen: 8:15 p.m. Sunday, 1166 N. Macomb St. in Monroe; wearing a red, white and blue shirt and knee-length jeans; police found her bicycle in the parking lot of the Charlotte Arms Apartments.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE DONT NEED THE MONROE EVENING NEWS.  If they were to report this AMBER ALERT, Someone might have to get up and come in on a holiday.  Everyone should cancel their subscription.

God I hope they find her soon. Hopefully, she is like most little ones and is just scared and hiding somewhere. But the bike being left behind is very upsetting.
