A bumper sticker for some of you.
« on: October 16, 2008, 11:06:41 PM »

Late-night flash of inspiration, I guess. Simple bumper-sticker to print off and stick everywhere. You should be able to fit at least 3 on a single page (measures 10 by 2).

Let me know if you'd like the source file (.PSD Photoshop file)

While I'll be voting Dem this time around I honestly believe third parties need to get their act together and work as a single united force to get ballot equality. Maybe some stickers will help.

"Clear your conscience
Vote third party"

And you're going to vote Democrat. That's swell.

I reject your stupid, presumptive, violent notion that you may lay claim to even one nanosecond of my life.

The only people who can truly claim a clear conscience regarding voting are those who refuse to delegate coercion upon their neighbors. You know: people who don't vote.

It really isn't that difficult. Cripes, even Carlin had it right:

The best way to change the system, then, is to stick your fingers in your ear and scream "IM NOT VOTING"?

A very mature political system blooming in your utopia, for sure.

I'll go one better even. Those who vote for the POS media driven presidential choices should be tarred and feathered, stripped of citizenship, and exiled to the UK. In my opinion they are not worthy of American citizenship and will likely be the first casualties in any up coming civil unrest.

I like it, and wish you would have came out with this a few months back, more people need to get in the third party frame of mine... ;)

You know....

I remember hearing a while back that someone wanted to do a sort of reality show thing to pick the presidential candidates where viewers voted just like all the other voting shows out there.

Many people laughed thinking that this wasn't as serious as politics should be.  But after this year, watching 2 candidates that I do not like at all, for the same old 2 parties, I say, why not have the show?  Many more people would pay attention.  It would allow actual qualified people to advance and truly give a voice to the American people.  Actually, I think if a 3rd party, preferably for me Libertarian, embraced this idea, they would have so much exposure that they would have a viable candidate in contension next time.

Great idea Flanders, even if it's not yours.  I say make an entire season out of it, with the 2 finalists to be voted upon by the people.

Start with about 20-25 candidates.  Hook them up to lie detectors and give them a jolt everytime they lie.  The show ends when one person becomes unconcious (or dead, doesn't matter).

We'd and up with a truthful politician.  We may not like what we hear, but it'd be better than the stuff they spew today.

The best way to change the system, then, is to stick your fingers in your ear and scream "IM NOT VOTING"?

A very mature political system blooming in your utopia, for sure.

It's amazing the presumptions that can be fit into a single sentence.

When did you stop having intercourse with livestock?

See?

You're screeching that I'm ignoring reality, when, in fact, you're the ostrich plowing your head into the sand. What are you afraid of? I've been dragging you around here by your eyeballs for some time now, and all you've managed to do is be another data point demonstrating that a person can be shown concepts but can't be made to think.

You're also assuming that I want to change "the system". All I want from "the system" is for it to remove the muzzle of its gun from my back and let me go about my life without duress. I don't care if "the system" continues apace, slowly withers, or inevitably blossoms into an orgy of cannibalism, as long as you and your fellow votistas leave me and my life the hell out of it.

Perhaps the dumbest assumption you're making is that I aspire to some utopia. I don't. Humans are fallible. Anything humans do will have flaws, however, when those flaws are instituted as centralized process and "law", there is no escape. On the other hand, when those flaws are part of decentralized associations, they victimize many fewer people.

I would never presume to make decisions about your life. That's part of why I don't vote. I don't know what's best for you. Why would you do that to me? You have no way of knowing what's best for me. Do you have the balls to make me comply with your decisions about my life in person?

Would you dare attempt to make me comply with your preferences for my life, face to face? There is only one answer to that question, and that answer defines you as human or cannibal.

BTW, that's quite a sick animated GIF of the World Trade Center you have on your PhotoBucket account:

See my comments to lordfly. There is no reason to tar and feather them. Let them devour each other.

Further: it is important to make a distinction between "American" and "US".  An "American" would not participate in slurping at the cannibal pot.

Lordfly,

I enjoy and have printed off the link to have a sticker created.

Though I will be voting Libertarian for President I would strongly encourage any of you that feel abandoned by the two main parties to speak up in this election.  Be it Green, Socialist, Libertarian whatever.  Michigan is a decided state for Obama so there is no need to follow the respective herds.  Michigan Independents have a rare opportunity this fall to make a real statement in the polls.  I think there is a solid 15% out there that have been waiting to vote their beliefs.  In the past I have voted along party lines to keep the other guy out.  No longer.

I'm not saying it has to be Libertarian, but please if you feel it in your heart, say it with your ballot.

Where's your sense of human value?

I sold it when I willingly gave my life for Al-- I mean, the Glorious Two Party System All Hail the System.

The source of said picture is from the purest form of anarchy online, 4chan. But I thought you were a fan of "to each their own", Matt? Or is that only until your sensibilities are violated?

Because nothing says, "I submit to the whims of the herd", like voting, no matter how you delude yourself.

And nothing says "unwillingness to socialize" like debasing all forms of government except a whimsical fantasy.
